Pizza Night is a staple in our home. At least once a week, we either go out for pizza, order it in, or whip up one of our favorite pizza recipes at home. And, as fun as Pizza Night is, sometimes I just get plain ole BORED by the same red sauce, cheese and pepperoni combination. So, I scoured my favorite sites for some new pizza recipes to mix things up a bit.
Hickory + Garlic Breakfast Flatbread
Breakfast for dinner never looked so good! Wildtree’s recipe for this savory breakfast pizza looks perfect for breakfast or dinner…or both!
Zucchini Pizza Bites
These flavorful bites from Skinnytaste are a great twist on the traditional pizza. Easy to prep, quick to bake and full of flavor, this recipe is sure to be a hit as a main course or a fun side dish.
Veggie Flatbread Pizza
YUM! This flatbread from Super Healthy Kids a perfect blend of simple and healthy and it looks totally kid-friendly! Don’t want to make your own flatbread? You can pick up an already seasoned FlatOut, Naan or a ball of whole pizza dough at your nearest grocery store. Add in a couple of spices for some flavor and you’re on your way to done!
French Bread Pizza Caprese
This French Bread Pizza from Skinnytaste brings me back to my childhood. Although, my Stouffer’s french bread pizza never looked this good! The balsamic reduction is THE ingredient that elevates this simple meal to something worthy of a meal for friends.
30 Minute BBQ Chicken Pizza
All my favorites: BBQ, pizza AND a quick dinner? YES! This 30-Minute BBQ Chicken Pizza from Simply Sissom is the perfect way to turn regular old pizza night on its head.
Sausage Broccoli Ricotta Pizza
Tired of pepperoni and mozzarella. Shake it up a bit with this Sausage Broccoli and Ricotta Pizza recipe from Wildtree.
Hidden Veggie Pizza
I know hiding veggies isn’t an ideal way to get the good stuff in our kids’ diets BUT I’m not at all opposed to sneaking in extra veggies when the opportunity presents itself. This Hidden Veggie Pizza from Super Healthy Kids and spaghetti sauces are perfect ‘carriers’ for vegetables likes carrots, spinach and mushrooms.
You had me at arugula and avocado. The selling of this meal from Kids Eat Vegetables as ‘Avocado Pizza’ will hopefully be enough to convince my kiddos to give it a go.
AND…dessert! What a fun dessert option when you don’t want to go too far into the depths of non-healthy eating. I’m serving up this Fruit Pizza from Skinnytaste this weekend!
So, what’s your favorite combination of pizza toppings? Please share in the comments!
